FAQ, legal mumbo jumbo,
and other such policies.

You must be 21 or older in order to purchase wine. If you want to have wine sooner, go to France as an exchange student and they’ll make sure you develop a good palate. It worked for me!

Don’t be mad if Southern Glazer’s lawyers/your state representatives got in the way of you receiving a shipment from Oregon to your state. In other words, I will only ship wines to states whose laws allow me to - my current shipping partner allows me to reach most states.

That being said, touch base with me if you have any concerns about shipping.
We should talk about your timeline for receiving wines, because I really don’t want them to freeze or overheat! If you have a deadline or concerns, please email me before ordering. I have years of experience shipping wines countrywide and want to make you happy while ensuring the wines taste as they’re meant to. Breakage during transit is the liability of the carrier; thus, such claims must be taken up by them. I’ll do my best to help, but can’t be held liable for breakage or extra fees incurred if no one is home to sign and the wines are sent back to me or to a holding facility. In short, email me when or if in doubt: monumentwine@gmail.com.

Wine reacts to time, to oxygen, to transit, and to Fiona Apple songs. I did my best to make these wines sturdy, consistent, clean, and alive. There’s a little sulfur in there as insurance. Bottle variation is real, and a quirk of the universe particularly with natural wines and small wineries. I hope you’re reasonably patient with the wines: don’t serve reds too warm or whites too cold. When in doubt, decant. Keep all unfinished bottles in the fridge overnight. However, if you feel like something is amiss, the winery is small enough that I can talk to you about it. At best, I’ll credit you for a new bottle. At worst, we can talk over the phone about how the wine wasn’t actually corked because I use Diam corks but I’ll still feel bad if you weren’t happy. If you don’t like Bonnie Raitt, though, don’t email me.

Distribution, export, and potential side gigs as a male model: it’s a small winery, but I’m open to talk about anything. Drop me a line.

Cellar tastings, demos, babysitting: I find it hard to say no. Again, email me. I want to keep you happy while maintaining a work-life balance. I’m sure something can work out.
